Founder & Co-Owner

Pete got his start in the basement repair world at Adirondack Basement Systems, where he became certified by the Basement Systems network. There, he learned what to do (and what not to do) when it came to basement repairs, and also met Dave, who would go on to become his close friend and business partner.

Concurrently, he ran a local digital marketing agency, helping local contractors and event venues reach their customers through platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Google.

After a brief stint with another local basement and foundation company, he decided that it was time to venture out on his own. He founded Solid Ground Solutions with Dave. His goal was to drop the corporate stiffness he felt at larger companies, but still provide the level of professionalism that his customers came to expect.

Pete continues on his mission to help homeowners every single day, all over the Albany and Saratoga area.

David Eatz

Founder & Co-Owner

Dave has been working in the basement and foundation industry for 10 years, for different big name specialists. He got his start as an installer for DryZone Basement Systems, where he learned the in’s and out’s of basement waterproofing, structural repair, and crawlspace encapsulation.

He rose up the ranks to become an estimator for Adirondack Basement Systems, where he met his future co-founder Pete. At Adirondack Basement Systems, he became one of the most consistent top-performers, and built strong relationships with the installation team.

He migrated to another local basement repair company for a period, before forming Solid Ground Solutions of Upstate New York together with Pete. He was ready to give superior customer service, and offer homeowners a down-to-earth approach that other basement behemoths were not able to do.

Today, Dave brings a passion to basement repair that is simply unmatched in the Capital Region.
